Registration: Requirements

1. A child must have reached the age of three on or before September 1st to be eligible for 3K, age four on or before September 1st to be eligible for 4K, and age five on or before September 1st to be eligible for kindergarten. A child is eligible for admission into Grade 1 if he or she has reached the age of six on or before September 1st. This is state law. There are no exceptions.
NOTE: All Pre-kinder students must be potty-trained.

2. Parents are expected to appreciate the unique characteristics of the Catholic School and have a sincere desire to work cooperatively with the school in developing Christian values and attitudes. Attendance at daily religion classes and liturgical functions (including Mass) during the school day is mandatory.

3. Preference is given to St. Louis parishioners in the registration process as determined by school council policy. If openings are available after parishioner registration, non-parishioners will be accepted.

4. Copy of Original Certificates of Birth (not the hospital courtesy copy) and copy of Certificate of Baptism must be presented at the time of registration.

5. A health record is required indicating that the student has received the immunizations required by state law. Completion of a health questionnaire with signature for permission to screen, is also required. Only when all health records are in order is the registration process complete.

6. For new incoming students in grades 1-5, acceptance is dependent on a satisfactory report from the student's previous school and the openings available in these grades. Full disclosure of a student's past attendance or qualification for special programs is required. A copy of past test scores and transcripts must accompany each transfer student.

7. St. Louis School does not have the personnel or the facilities to provide for students who are in need of special education. Such students will be referred to other programs.

8. St. Louis School admits students of any race, color, religion, and national or ethnic origin.

9. Every effort will be made to accommodate staff children into the current class offerings.
