The library is no longer just a quiet building where books are checked out. Students learn how to use a variety of research tools and work to develop computer and presentation skills.
We are also blessed to have volunteer readers from the community, who graciously read to our students, inspiring the joy and wonder of a good book as they bring the stories to life.
One of our most ambitious library projects this school year has been developing our own private WIKI WEBSITE by pbworks.com. Once you've registered at slcscomets.pbworks.com, you'll find school news & events, book lists, songs, games and videos, classroom information, articles and more.
If you're interested in staying more connected with your child's school experience - THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE! It's also a great site for your children to find safe, fun and educational games and videos.

Renaissance Home Connect improves the school-to-home connection by allowing parents and students to log in to a website and view their student’s reading and math practice and progress towards goals. Access to online results promotes discussion between parent and student, which motivates students and can make reading and math practice even more effective.
In addition, parents can specify up to six email addresses to receive automatic updates on their student’s math and reading progress.
